Sehwag - Rotation in Daredevils

It isn't often that finds members of an Indian Premier League team in the midst of nowhere. After all, the cash-rich match and its teams are all about entertainment and razzmatazz, which are seldom present in the midst of nowhere, seven kilometres from this quaint tiny Haryana town.

But on Thursday, the Delhi Daredevils made nice use of the facilities at captain Virender Sehwags cricket academy at his eponymous school. While the timing of the session  in the afternoon  was odd, given the mid-day heat, a blustery wind gave the young players some relief, as they gained experience in conditions different to the ones they have been getting used to at the Ferozeshah Kotla in New Delhi.

Sehwag is the undisputed leader of this team, and made use of a press interaction to make it clear. When asked if they would bat down the order if the team needed it, the 33-year-old batsman replied with a smirk: My position in this team is fixed.

Asked about his fitness, because of which they was rested for the Asia Cup and the one-off T20 International against South Africa in Johannesburg, Sehwag said: I am absolutely fit now. When the team was picked, I wasnt fit, and according to a brand spanking new BCCI policyowner, I couldnt be picked.

The controversial rotation policyowner applied by the Indian team in the ODI tri-series in Australia, which reportedly caused a rift between captain MS Dhoni and his deputy Sehwag, will certainly not be a Daredevils policyowner.
