Sanga Tharanga Help Sri Lanka For Recovery :

Upul Tharanga and Kumar Sangakkara brought up their respective fifties and are continuing the recovery process very well. Pakistan bowlers have allowed the batsmen to settle in and have stopped attacking. Sri Lanka are 146/4 after 33 overs.

30th over : The over from Afridi goes for eight runs and it includes a boundary to Tharanga. Sri Lanka breaking the shackles!

23rd over : Slow progress by Sangakkara and Tharanga as they attempt to stem the rot of early wickets.

15th over : And now Thirimanne heads back to the pavilion. The batsman fails to keep his shot on the ground, and Umar Akmal at backward point completes the catch.

9th over: Another one bites the dust! Umar Gul strikes for Pakistan this time. Chandimal fishes at one outside his off stump and Younis Khan at first slip takes a sharp catch, diving to his right.

8th over: Cheema strikes again for Pakistan. An attempt at a pull shot goes horribly wrong for Dilshan, as Saeed Ajmal at mid-on accepts the catch.

6th over: Pakistan draw first blood via Aizaz Cheema, as Mahela Jayawardene departs! The Lankan captain attempts to hit over covers but can't beat Hafeez who takes a simple catch.

4th over: It's 30/0 at the end of the over. Rollicking start for the Lankans, Dilshan on fire.

Mirpur: Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene won the toss and elected to bat against Pakistan in match three of the Asia Cup at Mirpur on Thursday.
While Pakistan beat Bangladesh in the opening match of the competition, Sri Lanka went down to India in match two on Tuesday.
On current form, the Sri Lanka and Pakistan clash holds promise for a keenly contested contest. Both sides play an exciting brand of cricket, have batsmen with equal dollops of flair and solidity, and bowlers capable of winning matches on their own.

However, it is Pakistan who will be a bit more confident of victory, and not just because they beat Bangladesh on Sunday. Pakistan have come up on top in the last three matches played against Sri Lanka - in fact they have won seven of nine matches going back to August 2009.
